Lowell's Bio

Lowell's Biography:

Lowell has been a proud educator for the past 34 years. He started his career as a Junior High Science teacher, working with the hormonally challenged. After completing his Masters of Arts in Administration and Curriculum, from the University of Gonzaga, he began his journey in Administration. This included 9 years as a Principal, 13 years as a Deputy Superintendent and 4 years as Superintendent. During that time he has served on the executive of both the local and Provincial College of Alberta School Superintendents.

Lowell has always had a passion for working with teachers and most especially new teachers. It is no secret that the teacher is the most critical and important variable if we are going to truly make a difference in the learning process. For the last 5 years, Lowell has been actively involved in setting up a teacher induction program in the Prairie Rose School Division. This program has been recognized across Canada and the United States. Lowell has worked with school jurisdictions in Alberta and Saskatchewan and hopes to spend many more years spreading the “word” about teacher induction across both Canada and the United States.
